Kristen Obush

Kristen Obush (1983-)

Kristen Obush grew up playing golf in her hometown of Indiana, PA.  She played on the Indiana High School boys golf team and played college golf at Cleveland State.  After college she returned to PA and began playing amateur golf with the WGAWP in 2009.  She quickly made her mark as she was runner-up to Carol Semple Thompson in the 2010 WGAWP Championship at Shannopin.  Kristen went on to win five WGAWP Championships in 2011 at Butler, 2013 at Longue Vue, 2014 at Valley Brook,  2017 at Allegheny, and 2018 at Chartiers.   She was Runner-up again in 2015 at Nevillewood.  She was WGAWP Player-of-the-Year in 2011.  Kristen won the PA State Amateur in 2018 on her home course, Ligonier.  Kristen Obush was recognized as the WGAWP Player-of-the-Decade for the 2010’s.
