Bobby Cruickshank Winners
In 1976 the family of Bobby Cruickshank presented a trophy (plaque) to recognize the medalist in the WGAWP Championship qualifying round. In addition, prizes are awarded for runner-up, low-net, and runner-up low net. The permanent plaque is inscribed with the winner's name and retained at Chartiers Country Club.
Bobby Cruickshank was an accomplished Professional golfer in the 1920's and 1930's winning 23 tournaments nationwide. In 1949 he became the Head Professional at Chartiers Country Club and established himself as a leading teaching pro in the area. His students included Carol Semple Thompson and Phyllis Semple.
