Womens Golf Association of Western Pennsylvania

Mia Kness, Seton Hall recruit and daughter of our tournament director Kim Kness, qualified for the 2017 U.S. Women's Amateur in Chula Vista CA at San Diego Country Club. Mia's score of 68 tied her for low medalist honors with Thailand's Wad Phaewchimplee at a sectional qualifier held at Walnut Grove Country Club in Dayton Ohio.

Mia shot 152 (75-77) during the 36-hole qualifier on August 7 and 8, missing the cut (150) to continue on to the match play portion of the tournament.  Mia will take this great experience with her as she begins her freshman golf season at Seton Hall this fall.
