Womens Golf Association of Western Pennsylvania

The 10th West Penn Women's Amateur Championship was contested on July 5 at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course. The event, conducted jointly by the Women's Golf Association of Western Pennsylvania and the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association was resurrected a 10 year hiatus.

Kristen Obush (Ligonier) snagged medallist honors in the amateur division, shooting 76, to win the Judy Oliver trophy (the event's first-ever winner).  Tatum McKelvey and Nadia Luttner gave chase with scores of 80.

In the inaugural Senior Division, Carol Semple Thompson (Allegheny) shot 74 to outpace Sally Sheerer's (Ligonier) score of 79.  

Norma Efremenko (Treesdale) was the inaugural winner of the super senior division beating Sue Colton (Butler) with a round of 75.

Each event is open to any female golfer residing in Western Pennsylvania or maintaining membership with a WPGA or WGAWP Member Club.

The top ten and ties will earn exemptions into the 2018 championships.  Complete scoring results can be found on the link below:
