Proctor is Medallion Winner

Danielle Proctor (Sewickley Heights) is the Medallion winner of the First President's Memorial Tournament with a low net score of 75.  Jessica Shaughnessy (Wildwood) took second low net honors with a score of 76 while Joanne Fleury (Treesdale) shot a net score of 78 to place third.  Jane Wymer (Butler) won the Jeannette Price Nicholson Low Gross award with a score of 84.

Normally a 36-hole event, this year's event was shortened to 18 holes due to inclement weather and unplayable conditions on the first day of scheduled play at Butler Country Club.

The First President's Memorial tournament began as a tribute to good friend and first president of Western, Jeannette Nicholson Price, by Betty S. Abernethy who established the endowment for the purchase of and name additions to the trophy.

In addition to her tournament win, Danielle's victory assured her the points needed to capture the Virginia Frew Wright Player of the Year award for a third consecutive season.

Danielle's name will be added to the "Crescent Moon" sculpture that is on permanent display at Fox Chapel Golf Club, the annual host of the tournament's second day of play.
