Danielle Proctor (Sewickley Heights Golf Club) won the Bobby Cruickshank Memorial Tournament during a rainy first day of the 2014 WGAWP Championship on July 14 at Valley Brook Country Club.  Proctor, Carol Semple Thompson (Allegheny) and Colleen Adams (The Club at Nevillewood) all carded 76's in qualifying to send them to a sudden death playoff.  Proctor clinched the win with a par on the third playoff hole.  Danielle repeats her Cruickshank win from 2013 and will again have her name added to the permanent plaque which is housed at Chartiers Country Club where Bobby Cruickshank served as the head golf professional.

Kristen Obush, the 2013 WGAWP Champion, by exercising her option to play today's round as a practice round, retains the top seed heading into the match play portion of the championship.

Nora Faller (Chartiers) shot a net score of 70 to claim Low Net.  Tied at 71 (net) and winner on a match of cards was Melinda Meighen (Butler); Patty Kegel (Connoquenessing) finished with the third low net score.  Complete results of Monday's qualifying round can be found under the Tournament tab>Championship Links> Qualifying Round Scores on the WGAWP website.
