DENISE H. "DEE" CASTEEL, an avid member of the Women's Golf Association of Western Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the age of 46. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 23, 1966 and was a graduate of North Allegheny High School and the University
of Pittsburgh. She was the beloved wife of William H. Casteel, who she married on April 11, 2008; loving daughter of Audrey Miller Carnahan of Gibsonia and the late Allen J. Carnahan; sister of Ann Espinola and her husband, Jeff of Denver, CO, and the late Paul A. Carnahan; she was the aunt of Sydney, Ben, Pete, Kate and Nicholas. She was dearly loved by her precious pugs, Woody and the late Lulu. Dee was the General Manager at the Harvard, Yale and Princeton Club in Pittsburgh and had held numerous positions for Club Corp at the Rivers Club and Treesdale Country Club. She was also a Real Estate agent for Howard Hanna Realtors in Wexford. Dee was a member of the Treesdale Golf and Country Club, where she served on the Board of Governors and was Chairperson of the Women's Golf Committee.

Dee's zest for life and friendships are irreplaceable. Friends will remember her dynamic personality and she was the nucleus of friendships all over the country. Everyone who knew Dee, were touched by her kindness and spirit. She was the consummate professional who inspired those around her to always perform their best. She was a passionate and incredible golfer who enjoyed golfing with her husband and all of her many cherished golfing girlfriends. Every round of golf played with Dee was a memorable event.
