Online renewal and tournament registration among new features

The 2013 WGAWP Board unveils a new look for the website this year.  The website committee, chaired by Corinne Lacich, included Board members Mary Mackey, Mary Beth Morrissey, Lesley Thomas and Sheila Kassel.  Countless hours were spent on the layout and content in the hope of creating a platform that informs, educates, and communicates in a user-friendly, electronic format.

Beginning this season, membership renewal may be done online.  Once you create an account, you will be asked to update your profile to help us create a more accurate database of our membership.  Information can now be sent to you via an email "blast" in the event of a cancellation or a reminder of an upcoming event.  You can volunteer to help, make a contribution to the Juniors' fund, request a yearbook and pay for your membership completely online. Your personal information will be kept from public view.

Tournament registration will also be completed electronically.  You, your partner, or your team's request will link automatically with the GHIN Tournament Pairing Program which will send you notification that your request was received.  The program will create groups of three (for most events) and assign a tee time.  All tee times will be posted on the website for your convenience.

The calendar can be "synched" to your smart phone.  You can personalize your calendar to only include the events of interest to you.

The Online Store offers WGAWP-branded apparel and accessories for purchase directly from the vendor. New items and vendors will be added in the future as interest warrants.

Use the "quick links" at the top left of the page to renew your membership or sign up for an event.  Use the links at the bottom right of the page to instantly connect  with the USGA to find a rule (written or video) or post a score on the GHIN website.

As the playing season progresses, look to the site for all of the information that you would normally find in the traditional paper yearbook. Find the results of tournaments, team matches and point updates for the Player of the Year.  Read announcements, reminders about open days and news events about our members.   Don't forget to add the WGAWP website to your "Favorites" list!
