Sophomore Mia Kness (daughter of our tournament administrator Kim Kness) became only the second golfer in Seton Hall women's golf history to win two individual tournament titles, firing a 1-over-par, 73, to cement the victory and lead the Pirates to the team title of the 2019 William & Mary Intercollegiate on Tuesday.

Kness joins former Pirate Erin McClure as the only Pirate to win two individual tournament titles.  Kness' other title came at the 2017 Brown Bear Invitational.

Kness used 13 pars to power her final round, and birdied two of the final three holes in route to a 1-over-par, 73.  For the tournament, she finished at 2-over-par with a 71-74-73-218, winning the event by six strokes over High Point's Sarah Kahn.

As a team, the Pirates won their second title of the 2018-19 academic year and their 15th since the program's inception prior to the 2010.  Today The Hall fired a third-round 16-over-par, 304, a nine-stroke improvement from round two yesterday.  For the three-round event, the Pirates shot a 54-over-par, 301-313-304-918, to best second place High Point by 10 strokes.

Last year, Kness had an outstanding freshman campaign winning 2018 Big East Freshman of the Year, 2018 All-Big East Team and 2018 Big East All-Tournament team.  She competed in all 10 tournaments, leading Seton Hall in scoring with a 75.27 average and ranking second in the Big East conference.  She broke Seton Halls freshman scoring record average while recording four top-10 finishes and two top-5 finishes.
