OPEN  DAYS

GENERAL:

  1. The clubs listed on the Open Day Shedule offer WGAWP members (no guests) the privilege of playing those courses on specified days. Members are required to register in the host Club Pro Shop and/or with the delegate.
  2. The tee is not closed to non-WGAWP members of the host club having WGAWP guests on Open Days unless tee times were arranged through WGAWP.
  3. If an Open Day is cancelled, and/or rescheduled, notification will be posted on your club bulletin board and/or the WGAWP website. Advance notice to the Open Day Chairman and to the Executive Secretary is the delegate's responsibility.  The Executive Secretary will then notify each member club.
  4. A member club's failure to offer and Open Day will result in the ineligibility of its WGAWP members to play in any Open Day.  Any exceptions to this policy are subject to approval by the Executive Board.

"A''  OPEN  DAYS     <  (Click left for email format entry)

  1. Entry into all "A" Open Days will be via EMAIL ONLY.  On the designated date, one member of the group will EMAIL the entry form, which must include ALL entry form information, to the Open Day Chairman.  The application will be acknowledged by email designating a tee time or waiting list.  A member may apply for only one "A" Open Day held on the same date, and duplicates may be disqualified at the discretion of the Executive Board.
  2. Those players accepted for "A" Open Days are expected to play on the designated date.  Any member accepted into the "A" Open Day field who does not play and does not have a replacement will be billed for lunch / cart / caddie.  The member will not be held financially responsible IF she finds a replacement.  The replacement must sign in on the day of play with her name and the name of the person she is replacing.
  3. Any group unable to fulfill their commitment to an "A" Open day MUST notify the Open Day Chairman before 3:00 P.M. the preceeding day.  Members will NOT be held financially responsible for mandatory charges IF the group can be replaced by a group on the waiting list. If there is no waiting list for that specific date, and no replacements can be found, members of the group WILL incur lunch / cart/ caddie charges. 
  4. A one dollar tip for the host club's staff will be collected by the Delegate.

"B"  OPEN  DAYS

  1. Entry into "B" Open Days will be by phone call to the Pro Shop.  Only one member of the group may call on the designated day and time (one week prior to the open day).  Cancellations shall be made with a courtesy phone call to the club's Pro Shop by 3:00 P.M. the preceding day.  
  2. PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED TO STAY FOR LUNCH AT ALL OPEN DAYS.
  3. The Delegate will place a gratuity basket for tips in the locker room.
